My first Valentines gift from my BF was a circular saw.
There are reasons I love that man.

Calling a dad looking after his kids “babysitting” is sexist.

I call it that when my other half goes out and I stay in with the little man.

Who am I supposed be offending, me or her (or him?)

More like zoo keeping in our house and they’re too old for the term babysitting now (imo) but I’m with you it’s only offensive if you take it that way. More about someone being over sensitive than any actual insult.

In our house if I got power or hand tools for fathers day I’d be happy.

Mrs g-d would not be similarly impressed for mother’s day.

I’d be pretty shocked to get a drill for father’s day. I didn’t even know I had any kids!

    Tough audience tonight.

It’s all getting very 1970s these days. Can we soon expect a return of the term “male chauvinist pig”?
    It’s been a while.

a powertool is not a present, it is a household necessity.
    bikeparts, whisky, etc are presents.

‘Babysitting’ is a female thing. When a man does it it’s called ‘Protecting the young from monsters and ninjas’. They are pretty much the same thing apart from monsters and ninjas.
