Cable is definitely in the correct side, you’d have to be a complete womble to bollocks that one…but i have not replaced the outers..duly noted
Up until recently my gears have always worked superbly so i just put this down to the wear on the cable, I saw no need to adjust the Limit screws but I have just re-checked and the jockey wheel are sitting outboard of the cassette by a bawhair(that’s right innit).
When i refit the cable, have the chain in the smallest cog etc then click the shifter to drop down a gear i have to screw the barrel adjuster to get it to move, fine until i get to 5th in the middle of the cassette when its snicking(thats a word) and still trying to move…so one would assume that you wind off some cable tension, then you don’t have enough to move out the smaller cogs.
I didn’t realise this was such a black art, im about ready for having a full blown tantrum
