Well I’ve finally managed to fully kill my long suffering SLX cranks, and I’ve got hold of an old set of RaceFace Evolve XCs to replace them.

I took the SLXs off and put the Evolves on in exactly the same way – 1×10 with Hope chainring in the middle position, Bashguard on the outside. This worked perfectly with the old cranks, but now the inside face of the chainring now fouls substantially on the chain device.

So, is there some way I can shim out the whole drive side of the cranks or something? (unlike Shimanos, the axle here is fixed to the NDS crank)

    Any top tips?

    Cheers.

Try moving your BB spacers around, if you’ve got one on each side, put two on the drive side and none on the other. Or you can always take some spacers out from behind you chain device (if you have any in there), do which ever affects your chainline the least.
