    Looking for some help folks!

My soon to be 6 year old is wanting a bmx and I am naturally happy to oblige!

Scanning through the 16 & 18 wheel market there’s a relatively limited range and so I was wondering if a short tt on a standard 20″ would be a good alternative?

Can one of you good people recommend me a decentish sub £200 BMX for my lad please? Preferably not red apparently 🙂

    cheers

Cheap BMX bikes are too big, very heavy and fitted with poor quality components. Usually just a disincentive to further riding skills and limiting use, unless just for riding “round the houses”.

Decent ones are great bikes but maybe go for a quality second hand BMX when he is a little bit older.

My 7 year old has a Mafiabike bbkush which has 16″ wheels.

Perfect for skateparks and dirt jumps and general messing about.

Search intetweb for a Social Scout 18″ BMX, we got ours for £212 in December.

Blank seem to be reasonably priced, decent quality, and popular/fashionable/”cool” too which is important in the BMX market…

Their Buddy (16″) is £209 and Hustla (18″) is £259.
