After less than a year, I’ve killed a set of skullcandy earphones, a set of Beats and a set of Jabra 25e earphones quit and died on me, not to mention three Apple 3.5mm jack adaptors. It seems that Apple don’t bother to solder wires in place.

Without spending more than £100, is it possible to find a set of exercise friendly earphones that don’t fail?

dont laugh, but we have been giving these away to customera for a xmas gift in december.

given over 100 pairs away, and not had a complaint.
guy i work with is a tech head, and he says they are as good as his apple ones.

Thank you, it’s so frustrating that my next phone will have a 3.5mm jack fitted.

I’ll check those out – for less than £8 it doesn’t matter if they fail.

Jabra Elite active. Not cheap but they’ve lasted my wife ages for running and gym work and she destroys headphones normally.

@ton – I’ve just splashed out £8 on a pair of those, so if they’re shite, I’m sending the girls round. 😉

So, er how have people managed to order the £8 buds when: “No sellers are currently delivering this item to your selected dispatch location in the UK – Mainland. ?

forget that, stupid Amazon had set my default delivery address wrong 😏

I’ve had a set of those £8 ones to try thinking nothing to lose. £8 wasted rather unsurprisingly they were crap, tinny sound and fit badly.

Mpow decent stuff at the budget end. £20-£30 a set off amazon or eBay. My set 12 months old still working fine and sound quality nothing g to complain about. Just bought latest model for the Mrs.

I have a set of Taotronics BH07. They sound ok but are not the most comfortable. They do however survive a 15min quickwash washing machine cycle when you accidentally leave them in your cycling jersey pocket.

I’ve got a set of these:

, and a set of the cheaper version. Both are excellent, and mattery life is huge. The CL6BT version has aptx for extra good sound. Love them. And they have been indestructible so far.

I’m very very impressed with these Anker ones-

    https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B07P8R676K?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title

I had a set of those Anker ones, they sound was awful & the little rubber fins stretched & one fell off within about 6 weeks of use (only used for walking to work) I’ve now got a set of urbanista Stockholm much better & about 1/2 the website price if you shop around.

I got some Dodocool (random chinese brand) ones for xmas. I can’t use the older style earphones that just sit in your ear- they fall out straight away so it had to be some in-ear ones. Went for a run with them yesterday and they stayed put!

I’m pretty happy with them. Sound quality is average, not bad, not amazing- not as good as my wired Soundmagic E40’s, but they’re twice the price and not wireless. For £30 on prime I think they’re a good deal, now that I’m sold on the wireless idea (which I wasn’t sure about) I’ll invest in better audio quality for my next set (FYI I can be a bit picky about sound quality!).

If he’s comparing to AirPods (rather than EarPods) than I’d suggest he gets his hearing checked. A nephew bought some of those £8 ones and whilst functional the sound quality is very obviously inferior to AirPods. It’s like comparing an Echo Dot to an Echo – you can listen to music on the Dot but it’s tinny and lacks any depth (and I’m not saying an Echo is amazing sound quality nor are AirPods – just that they’re very obviously better, to a non-audiophile, than the respective cheaper options).

Gen 2 Airpods are a great piece of kit. Their functionality is amazing, activating automatically when they’re in your ears and disconnecting when they’re not. When using with an iphone they’re just seamless in their integration with it. The sound quality is similarly great. I bought my wife some for Christmas.

Pairs with your phone as you open the box, unpairs when you put them back. Box charges them. Box also has a power out so you can charge your phone. Couldn’t tell you the run time but it’s a few hours as least between arrival and lunch (charging) then until I knock off during a normal 9-5.

After a battle between the reviews of the Sabbat E12 Ultra and the Fiil T1 x….. I ordered the latter.

    https://m.gearbest.com/bluetooth-headphones/pp_3009286923162898.html

Probs not much in it but the Sabbat were $85 and the Fiil were $60.
