    I’ve seen it wetter with more water in the streams etc but don’t think I’ve ever seen the ground, the grass, as wet and muddy and hard going as it is at the moment. A few of the tracks (that are used by vehicles) are a real mess and not much fun.

    There were still a lot of MTB bikes out this last week, especially yesterday which is good to see.

    Whereabouts is awful so I can avoid it?

    Just about any route that is grass on soil is so soft at the moment. If they have been used by farmer’s tractors or offroaders (4x4s and motorbikes) they are just rutty-mud. Our sheep have eaten off all the grass and are paddling the fields to mud too at the moment. I suppose it will be better after a month of dry!
