  • Bleeding Shimano Deore 615 and SLX 666 brakes

    I have recently bought a set of Deore 615 brakes for my tandem. I had to buy a longer than standard hose so having installed the hose I need to bleed the brakes. I have the Shimano BR-M575 bleeding funnel but I’m not sure I’m doing it correctly. Are you supposed to use a syringe with this funnel? I haven’t managed to find any good guides on how it’s supposed to work with these brakes.

    The method in that video is bolx, you don’t bleed any brakes with the pads still in place! Follow the pdf on shimano tech docs

    The instructions are in the box for the funnel, follow them and it’s simples.

    You do need a syringe to push oil from the calliper up to the funnel/syringe. Check out our guide below:
