Not a big thing. My partner thinks it should be in one place, I think the other. We happily disagree about this but I’ve been wondering what others think. And yes, I know both is an option…

    Compromise on both?

It depends on whether you tend to have the bedroom door open or closed at night and whether theres a direct line of sight to be able to fling a pizza box and beer cans from the bed into the bathroom after breakfast

Bins in both bathrooms, and adult bedrooms. No bins in the kids’ bedrooms

(I send up the butler if they have any rubbish)

What bedroom waste is being created?

I guess if you or your partner does your make-up in the bedroom then there might be the usual detritus from that (cotton buds, swabs, wipes, trowels).

But one in the bathroom is pretty essential too.

Yeah both seems like the answer as otherwise it will always be in the wrong place.

No point in a bin in a teenagers room. That’s what the floor is for…
Yep. We have an ensuite and that doesn’t help solve it

Anyway loving the idea of making a remote controlled mobile bin… But this is one of the things where I am just going to have to give in gracefully.

Go a Roomba and stick a bin to the top – autonomous hoovering AND waste collection.

Placcy bags hung from the en suite and bathroom door handles along with random piles of washing on the landing and stairs.

Any rubbish in between gets removed from the laundry by the washing machine or once it is taken out of the washing machine to be put in the tumble dryer.

I’m a little sad no one cared that Graham’s wife was a bit heavy handed with the makeup
