Genius, IMO.Posted 11 years ago
The other mechanic I used to work with in the bike shop was a big Bill Hicks fan, we often used to have a CD of him on while we were working away. Unfortunately the sound would sometimes drift upstairs onto the shop floor and one day during one of Bills’ more expletive-laden monologues a customer heard it (and our hysterical laughter) and put a complaint in. 🙁Posted 11 years ago
Think my favourite is the flying saucer one, loads of apopleptic rage on there 🙂 The book containing some of his letters is also very good.Posted 11 years ago
What killed him? the big C?Posted 11 years ago
Pancreatic cancer, I think.Posted 11 years ago
I saw him when he played Oxford. Fan bloody tastic. His stuff on the Iraq War is priceless – who’d have thought it would ever be directly accurate and current again?
Thanks for the laughs Bill.Posted 11 years ago
