I think I’ll have to agree with Dazh’s missus. If any of my aforementioned 7 bikes aren’t ridden for more than a few weeks I start looking longingly at whichever one it is and making plans for the next half decent day.

    The current lineup is:

Cervelo S5 (with roadie and TT setups floating around – spare wheels, bars, etc)
    Intense M9
    Intense Tracer 2
    Intense Tazer

Currently looking to downsize the Tracer2 and Tazer and maybe replace with a Carbine, in an effort to appease my bike-constrained housemates.

Also have an Intense Socom frame in the attic and am rebuilding an old ’99 Kona Chute with some gold Psylos 😆

Here’s one of them, looking as clean as ever:

I’ve got a job interview on Thursday (this is going somewhere relevant, promise) and was having a chat with the recruiter who set it up today. We got onto the personality of the interviewer, and apparently “she likes cycling and talks about this equation…”

    “you mean N+1?”

    “that’s the one”

“I think we might get on”…

chiefgrooveguru That’s just how a bike should look then you know it’s been ridden as it’s intended & not just polished.

    Ok

    1. Sun gents bike from the 60s – stored outside and used for trips into town.
    2. Dialled Love/Hate Mk1 singlespeed – used for carrying kids about on bike seat (built up from leftover components)
    3. 2007 Sunn carbon road bike (I forget what it’s called) it’s black and doesn’t get out much
    4. 2004 Keewee Chromo 8 with Boxxers – currently in bits/cannibalized but ready for the next trip to the mountains whenever that will be
    5. Sharp BMX Cruiser – Built it up well before I got married thinking I would do a bit of something on but haven’t and it’s gone into storage since. Think I was a bit disappointed in it really but don’t want to get rid and admit defeat or spend any more money on it making it right.
    6. 2010 Intense Tracer – This thing is a lot like Trigger’s broom and has a constantly evolving spec with components that have been on many bikes before, some of them even mine. I tend to buy bits 2nd hand rather than completes as I’m quite particular about spec. This is a BOS/Push RP23/XTR/Hope/Mavic dream machine (even if everything is a bit old – it’s 9 speed FFS!) but it could still ride a bit better so no doubt I’ll spend some more in it soon, even if I don’t ride it much since the kids arrived.

    I think that’s it.

Bit of a pattern. In my head I would like an enduro type 29er too, but in reality it would never get ridden. Langster gets the most use.
