Going to spend a few days eating and drinking in london and I was wondering where´s good for bike gear.
I need a few bits and pieces (new sten and bar and maybe some bikewear since winters comin), can anyone reccommend a shop with plenty of stuff in stock and near enough to a tube station?

Condor & LBW both near grays inn road, farringdon or chancery lane tube, there’s obviously lot’s of evans and cyclesurgery’s kicking around, big cyclesurgery in holborn, evans at london bridge. There’s a couple of trendy shops near brick lane and old street if you want niche stuff, mind you niche is new mainstream in that part of town.

    Not really, no!

For mountain bikes, try Cycle Surgery behind Spitalfields Market. That said, my local Surgery (Victoria) had some pretty tidy deals on Easton and Thomson stems and stuff yesterday. Clothing selection wasn’t great, but that could be because it’s not quite winter clothing season yet….

No one really “does” mountain bikes in the centre of town as there’s not enough money in it.

There is a MTB specialist Evans opposite Waterloo station. Just round the corner from the roadie specialist one on The Cut.
