    first go at frame design – is there any other software i should have a look at that may be cheaper (or free!!). Ive tried the free bike cad but it seems a bit limited for mtb.

    Another one for RattleCAD. The free version of Bike CAD is OK but it dosnt get you to your jig layout. Last time I used it several dimensions were missing. The free Bike CAD is to tempt you in.

    RattleCAD is a bit quirky but all the dimensions are available to successfully build.

    Though the full version of BikeCAD is definitely worth it if you want to get serious about designing frames…
