GnR. Proper rock band, proper songs, proper debauchery and proper talent on many different forms. Often forgotten that they were 5 early 20’s talented musicians that made it on the circuit.

Ha! Fat chance of any kind of agreement on this one. Where do you start? And what do you define as a ‘rock’ band?
Do the Beatles count? Certainly they started as a rock’n’roll band. I couldn’t really make a case for one band over any other; U2, on the Joshua Tree Tour, were magnificent, Metallica, Soundgarden, Sisters Of Mercy, Elbow…
Seen all of them, and I couldn’t possibly pick any one as best ever. Death Cab For Cutie are outstanding live, but best ever? Or Metric, who blow me away every time I see them…
It’ll be interesting to see who gets listed.
