Trying to decide between Persimmon, Yellow and Clear.
Obviously clear good for everything but tempted by something else.
    What do people use?

Clear for me, good on those days when it’s bright in the open but gloomy under the trees. Better for night riding too.

Persimmon works for me, although it makes trails made with yellow-ish clay look quite Wizard of Oz-esque…
And when you take them off everything looks quite grey and drab 🙁

Photochromatic. Expensive but worth it for highly variable light conditions.

Photochrimatic work well when warm , my Rudy Projects are crap in the cold …take too long to change and they were far from cheap.

If you night ride then clear, the others are useless in the dark.

Had both and quite like the yellow for night riding but the persimmons are fine that I have at the moment. The yellow does brighten dull days and yes in a wizard of oz way.

I use these and cannot fault them .

Couldn’t be bothered with all the faff of changing lenses

Got both for the price of a set of Oakleys

    Off road

    Road

Clear safety specs for night riding .

Agreed Margin Walker. I have some Rudy Projects and they are too dark for winter use and I only use them on the road in the summer. The Specialized Adaptalite’s I have are fine for winter MTB use but the Oakleys are better. Yes I am a glasses tart in case you are wondering!

Depends on what sort of riding. For road then i’ve used vr28 blue iridium most this winter – the low sun makes the persimmons a bit too bright and if it turns a bit overcast while out then the vr28s are still ok. Whereas for mountain biking if there is any shadow involved then the persimmons or clear would be my choice
