Monsters was good for what it was, IMO. but everyone was expecting a horror film, I think. Like The Adjustment Bureau. Trailer made an awesome looking film.. The flick itself ws totally different but still good.
The Straight Story. The only film I’ve watched more than a couple of times. There’s something magical about the slow pace and spaciousness of this film.
If I think back, the film that had me glued to it the most was Lost In Translation. American beauty is one I watch quite a lot. Bladerunner is probably the film I have watched the most,
Solid trolling right there. Worst film I’ve ever seen in my life. More hole then plot, stupid acting, no story, nothing makes sense, terrible ending.
Best film I’ve seen this year I think would be this..
Solid acting, brilliant story, keeps you guessing till the end (and then some), great visuals, great sound track. It’s as puzzling as Primer, but actually enjoyable at the same time. It’s also fantastic to see what Aronofsky can do when he’s not trying to make you hate life.
Funny, but I’ve just finished watching Antichrist (literally 5 mins ago) and I thought it was pretty good.
I also though Monsters was good, but you have to accept that it is effectively a love story set amidst a horror film, rather than a full on horror film.
Not a fan of suckerpunch. It was cool the first 2 dream sequences.. but then it got old and the ending was implying the audience was there for more than scantly clad women with firearms…
I totally forgot about Dead Man’s Shoes! Classic.
I now give:
