But instant coffee isn’t coffee. It’s modified gravy granules or something, I dunno, or possibly grout? It’s definitely not coffee, that’s for sure.
Yeah it takes about 10 seconds longer to make a proper coffee, but on the plus side you get a drink that doesn’t taste like it’s been scraped out of a u-bend.
Mind you, IME, most coffee snobs can’t tell the difference when you make them a coffee properly but deliberately using stale coffee. So long as you can proclaim that it’s been made properly, nothing else really matters for them.
I know, I’ve done it several times to make the point 😉

Tesco’s ashbrook spring has the best TDS and ph levels for coffee if you cant stretch to an inline reverse osmosis set-up, its also cheap if you buy it in 5L bottles.
HTH
Millicano is ok, but I have started a bit of psychological warfare at work to persuade them to get a proper machine.
I bought an aeropress and 200g of Tigerstripe.
The amount of comments I get, when I have made it, on the lovely smell is going a long way.
It only takes a couple of minutes to make and wash up
I’ll second piemonster’s suggestion of coffee bags. I use them at work and have got quite a few others onto them. About £2.60 for 18 bags from bigger Sainsbury’s or Tesco’s.
