    for whatever reason i can’t get gopro Quik app to splice and cut vids as i want.

    any other software you can recommend for putting together bike clips and such that isn’t overwhelming?

    +1 Shotcut. I use it across Windows and Linux.

    To be honest though, I’ve moved to using PowerDirector on Android for most straightforward editing jobs.
