So, Which films that were released this year would you say were worth watching?

Went to see Prisoners last week which I thought was awesome.

Also I enjoyed World War Z and Olympus Has Fallen.

    Any others I should watch?

Used to be the biggest film fan but can’t watch a film since I started watching breaking bad. It’s ruined films for me. Unbelievably brilliant. Like the godfather but better.

I really enjoyed star trek- into darkness, one of the best hollywood blockbusters I’ve seen, in full on brain melting 3d imax. That’s judging it for what it is, mind, if you want gay cowboys eating pudding you’d want to look elsewhere.

I’m looking forward to the 40 minute long Hobbit director’s cut, with no frodo, no weird second start, no rabbits, and about 95% less fighting, smoking weed, and bloomin storm giants. That’ll be good.

Only god forgives? One of those pointless yet thoughtfull art peices that doesnt give the viewer all (if indeed any) answers.

    Dispicable me 2 was good.

Warm Bodies. Seriously. It has plenty of faults, but it was original and I think that counts for a lot. It also has my only memorable quote of the year. “Nailed it!”. I really didn’t expect to enjoy it, but warmed to it more and more.

There was a twist at Oblivion? Thought it was obvious, personally. My second best of the year.

I’m looking forward to the sequel of that great classic Machete.

It’s called Machete Kills and there will be another sequel, Machete Kills – Again.

Pure classic literature on film. 🙂

If you haven’t seen Machete, see it now.

    Django

Star Trek – Seen it at Imax 3D too and the scene where they going through warp to escape and then there’s a huge thunderous roar (I won’t say why) was outstanding at the iMax.

    I’m watching it again now.

According to Empire the film of the year is yet to be released, Gravity is out next week. Empire doesn’t give out 5 stars for just any movie.

The 3 films that have stood out for me are –

    Rush
    Pacific Rim
    The World’s End

Can’t wait til they come out disc to watch again…
I’m still looking forward to Machete Kills & I think what will be my film of the year – Gravity. (Never looked thought I’d say that about a George Clooney/Sandra Bullock film..)

As much as I enjoyed Warm bodies, the whole film hours plus is completely summarized in the 3 minute trailer..

Really enjoyed the latest Star Trek, but I am a fan

Gunna watch Django in a bit.. as much as I enjoyed some of Tarantino’s films, he seemingly lives off his success and produce mediocre stuff the majority of the time (IMO).

Not seen anything else, as other than the Lone Ranger (it was gone from the cinema before we got our act together), I’ve not fancied much this year, or been put off by the neighbours reviews (she hated Prisoners) & wait for sky to show them.
