    used a Sharpie one before and it’s a bit purply.

    Any experience?

    Or other ways of colouring?

    No “what pen for…?” recommendations? 🙁

    Have also used sharpies – and yes, they’re purply.

    I don’t have any better advice for you – but I didn’t want you to feel alone.

    I used a bog standard chisel tip permanent marker, it wasn’t purple.

    Little pot of enamel paint and a wee brush, get whatever colour and finish you like.

    Choice of half a dozen different blacks here

    Father Ted knew all about the problems with finding a true black;

    thank you all! 🙂 Particularly the particularly honourable george, who had nothing to add but comfort.

    Just bought a pair of stans wheels which are pretty cheap, probably mostly because they’re black, with a silver braking surface and disk hubs. Wanted black or grey rims, silver spokes and brass nips, getting black spokes, silver rims and alloy nips. pfff. they are cheap!

    So I’m going to get all arts and crafts on their as(r/s)es when they get here. Might get the glitter glue out while I’m at it.
