Fold the rear seat flat in my standard 86 and the bike fits in through the boot easy enough anyway. Granted that fitting a second bike in would be more of an issue . . .

There are plenty of estates that are faster than a gt86

the gt-86 isn’t about outright speed though. its a drivers car thats fun to drive at lower speeds. it isn’t high powered and doesn’t have massively wide wheels.

Are you planning to post the bike through the tailgate component by component?

    Shooting brake ?! pppppft

Doesnt look like it would be very good for carrying bikes.

Looks like a Hyundai Veloster too. Sorry times when your designers are copying Hyundai!

I don’t get it, just looks like another boring car that’s not very handy for bikes, yet you put a link to it under the title “Best bike carrying car EVER!”.

    Please explain.

    In fact, I don’t care.

Surely it should be the Ferrari 250 GTB BreadVan?!

you can get 2 bikes, 2 people and all your riding gear inside a porsche 944 (and thus, probably a 924, 968 and possibly a 928 as well), I used mine as my only car for a couple of years. It didnt need a poor roofline to manage this 🙂

You do though, don’t you? You’d flippin love an argument on the Internet at 8 o’clock on Sunday morning. Well I’m not going to give one to you. I respect your right to claim not to understand something that I thought looked cool. Enjoy your day.

Is not a shooting Brake, it’s just an estate…

Not fast you’re last and all that.

Anyway back on topic. I reckon you could get a bike in the back of a jensen interceptor.

    How about reliant scimitar?

I do like the look of the estate GT86 though, can we add it to the “pretty car” thread?

Not a fan TBH, side looks like a pleasant mix of Honda CRZ and Citroen C4 but the back is just ugly. Still, each to their own.

Its all rather modern in here.

I’d be tugging my forelock and doffing my cap to you.

Take out the last row of seats and it will take five people and five complete MTBs. And cost less than the Toyota.

Used a scimitar for a number of years as my daily car, bike in boot no problem. Would love to try with an Interceptor…

No pics but saw a 911 with two bike racks on top. Looked great!!

On the few occasions I’ve seen expensive cars with bikes on the roof, they’ve always been disappointingly cheap bikes.

    However :

My Dad had a Scimitar SE5a for ages when I was younger, bike in the back no problem.

A 911 is perfectly capable of having a roof rack:
