Just been doing the monthly finance check and got disturbed by the sound of digging. My neighbours are getting a new conservatory built. They've just bought a brand new vectra this year and they only extentended their house 2 years ago.
She doesn't work now and hasn't for past 5 years or so and he has cut his hours to part time. Apparantly they are better off doing it like as they get more time with the family and also more benefits. They have more than us and there is 2 of us working full time!

How can a family of 2 adults and 3 kids be better off then just 2 adults?
    Makes my blood boil 😈

Well I'm pretty sure you can't buy new cars and conservatories while legitimately claiming benefits. They must have money salted away or have come good on an inheritance or something.

He could have the car on the Mobility scheme. I wonder how much that scheme costs the Government annually.

So, smoke alot of fags and eat fatty food and you too one day could be given the keys to a shiny new car.

Why do you think people of a certain ethnic background have such large families, drive a taxi and manage to live in quite big houses (for their taxi income)?

I used to wonder this (looking at the property prices) ..until you do the maths.

    Hora, you're such a bitch.

As samuri said, or they're dealing drugs, or cornered some market on ebay.
You can't afford a new car, or a new conservatory, on benefits.

Dont even get me started on the mobility/DLA scheme! A family member is on this his first car was a Focus now its a Volvo – a new car every 2 years, free services, all you have to pay for is fuel and the person on it doesn't even drive it! I have to bite my lip every time i see him and he starts boasting about it – grrr!

FFS Hora you have a mixed race child and you post up racist sh1t like that. Perhaps it is the fact that they don’t believe in mortgages and entire families club together to buy houses and pay each other back. As they are not wasting money on mortgage payments or interest they can live in more affluent areas. Perhaps they work 80 hours a week to do this.
Your posts are getting worse can you not just f@ck off to the Dail Whail website and share your pearls of wisdom there? I bet you would be one of the bright one's there.
The working family tax system is not that great that they can be actually better off than you – here do the calculations yourself assuming you wish to test your view against the facts that is otherwise ignore it and keep spouting.

    http://www.workingfamilies.org.uk/asp/calculator/Default.aspx

here play with the figures to see how much better off than you they really are under the superbly generous benefit sytstem that [in the deceitful words of he right wing press] is the most generous in the whole of Europe if not the world.

Did they buy the house at a different time to you? That'd be my guess: they have a tiny mortgage and yours is much bigger.

You are assuming that all are from one religion and all practice that religion and don't hold any main UK bank accounts.

Does that automatically mean I belong to the C&E and attend Sunday service every Sunday morning Junkyardy?

Even the most liberal of STW members will accept that 80% of benefits are, on the whole a waste of public money.

The mindset of "It's OK my actions don't matter as the state will pay for all my mistakes" needs to be removed from the thought process of the general public.

Oh, to answer the OP – mind your own business! 😉

    I won't agree that…
Poorly administered in many cases and open to abuse, but actually I’m glad I live in a society where those who fall on hard times are helped, not some sort of Nietzschen state full of selfish arses…

Benefits are generally put in place to Benefit those with a genuine requirement they can't meet on their own, many of those who make use of them are or have been working tax paying members of society who have earned the right to financial and material assistance from the state when things don't go their way, health, old age, bereavement, divorce, unemployment – circumstances often beyond the control of the individual…

What Thatcher’s children and the Red tops fail to report are those that do deserve access to benefits, those that are able to continue working and paying taxes thanks to benefits no apparently only a scrounger would ever consider drawing benefits… One side of the story politics as usual…

hora I am not falling in to the trap of arguing with an idiot as they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.

IF 80% of benefits are a waste of money that would have to include pensions then.
