Mowed the lawn today and went to empty the grass into the compost. Turns out we’ve got some white tailed bee’s currently living in there. I’m more than happy to leave them to it, but was wondering if anyone knew how long a hive is used for, before dying/moving?

We had some white ass bumbles in our compost. They stayed for the summer then moved on/died.

Bee’s rock. Especially as they will pay some of mine and colleagues salary for a few years…we just heard we have £1.3m funding to get bees into secondary school grounds across the UK.

    Bee’s rock.

And they know how to party.

“…the males fly in a low patrolling circuit, depositing pheromones on grass to attract young queens.” [/b]
