It was ‘entertaining’, but I would have loved to have seen some stuff on how a honey badger just has a two hour kip after being bitten by a puff adder, then gets up and finishes the snake as a meal!
Puff adder venom is cytotoxic after all, and a bite to a human limb left untreated for more than a few hours would mean large parts of that limb having to be excised. I could half understand how going into a trance like state might help with a neurotoxin, as it might lessen the effects on lung and heart muscle, but just lying down whilst a toxin is trying to eat its way through all your cells?
Anyway, we didn’t get to find out, but it was good to see nonetheless.
