Still laughing at the interview by John Inverdale ” A track bike has no breaks and no gears… and a road bike has breaks and gears!” Only five mins of BBC air time to explain that one. Well done BBC.

And when he asked Victoria Pendleton if she “was surprised by Willy last night?”… yeah you wish mate.

there was another bit where the interviewer asked why the lead rider in a pair constantly looks back to see what the other one is doing . . . .

Remember its also for armchair sports fans – not just keen cyclists.

Thought it was a bit off that the reporter Simon Brotherton and Craig McLean stood in the centre kept talking loudly all through a medal ceremony/anthems last night when all around them were quiet and looking daggers at them. Otherwise I’ve thought it OK, though Cav could do with some more practice at interviews if he’s going to keep winning classics for fun.

Cav shouldn’t be allowed to do interviews when he’s not won, although when he does win they’re very good.

I thought the coverage was pretty excellent. Not many “minority” sports get so much airtime. So good work, BBC Sports Unit, great to see so much pedalling on TV and on the iPlayer too. Ill take the odd numpty question/idiot guide for that.
