Bought a lovely Whyte 603 for my big 10yo. She may be big but the bars are 760mm which is rather excessive. To be honest she can ride it fine but it might be tricky to negotiate sharp bends

So what sort of widths do your kids ride in small 27.5 bikes?

680 at that age. He’s bigger now so will probably put a 710/720 or so one on.

agreed, 700 max. (incl deathgrips) thats what my almost 10yo has on his 26″ park/trail/xc bike
might go to 720-730 on this summers gravity specific xs 27.5 bike

640 for my 10 YO. Swapped the 780s for some old 640s from the 26”er.

She’s happy because they are the same colour as the bike 😉

700 is for me the absolute max and I am 5′ 10″ kids bars should be proportional to their height / armspan I would have thought.

660 on my lads Trance. He’s 11, might try something a touch wider once his broken wrist heals but wouldn’t go wider than 700 I don’t think.
