I’m away to Skye the weekend for a birthday gathering. Saturday will be a long day so I’m planning to sneak out for a ride and I fancy the Sligachan out and back.
Looking at the map it looks like I could extend it a bit by going round Loch Coriusk, the bad step looks not too bad (snow notwithstanding) but I don’t know about carrying a bike- anyone done it?

It’s not just the Bad Step itself to think about. I wouldn’t consider the approach on either side to be bike friendly either.

The path from Glen Sligachan over to Loch Coruisk was being “improved” this year but I don’t know what that means for cycling.

Ah well, if this weather carries on the out and back will be enough for me I expect.
