I was using a Backcountry research Mutjerload strap on my full suspension bike. However it won’t tighten around the skinnier frame tube of my Cotic Bfe .  The buckle bottoms out before it is tight.

Anyone know if the Backcountry Racestrap will work on the frame.  I like the elasticated extra bits over a plain old Velcro strap.

    You could try these

Very similar to Backcountry Research straps.  I have a couple I bought at the London Bike Show and they are well made and importantly for you have the elasticated straps.  Two sizes and their site says this about the size

Saddle Strap will work on very small frame tubes, such as a steel top tube. Likewise, a Frame Strap will work as a Saddle Strap but will be more fiddly to use due to an excess of material

The Piggy fits to the water bottle cage mounts (whilst still allowing a water bottle to be used), so no need to worry about whether it fits skinny frames. Here it is on my steel roadbike:

I’ve got a couple of the Louri straps as mentioned above. Quality is great and they really hold items stable. I’ve used them on my kinesis crosslight with no issues.

Never mind. Have just discovered that i have been using the strap wrong.

Mounting it the correct way and it fits fine.  That’s a nice cheap solution.

cheers_drive, I don’t give a monkey’s about the piggy, but that Rourke is lovely!

(and actually, the piggy does look like a nice idea too!)
