    Morning all, apologies for the tardiness of the update but the lot of the self employed sole trader has been a busy one this week – 18 hour day yesterday, culminating in a shoot at a local Burlesque Club…. tough gig but somebody had to do it……. 😀

    I really need to get my ass in gear, todays weigh in is 2nd wek of ‘stay the same’ – in a small way this is a result given food and beer abuse this week, but I have to crack the 14st barrier then push for target!

    Hey, I tell you what’s really odd. I spent the last 3-4 months on a strict diet of chicken and veg, limiting my calorie intake quite heavily but not really exercising to any extent, didnt lose a pound. Been out for two sprints of <10 miles on the SS and resorted to eating whatever junk I fancied (chocy biscuits, double deckers etc) and “normal” meals and I’ve lost 6lbs in 2 weeks.

    What is getting me is i am keeping my calorie intake to around the 2000ish mark daily, apart from weekends where it might creep upto 3000. Also i am averaging 20-40 miles a week on the bike and 20-30 miles on the treadmill (@12kmh) and yet i am struggling to lose 2lbs a week let alone 6lbs in 2 weeks like coffeeking.

    Bah, and i might add Humbug! (Which i can’t eat as they are all sugar).

    Jamie – you sound similar to my other half. She spends an hour 5 days a week in the gym, supervised by a personal trainery type person (and really pushes herself hard, to the point where she’s utterly knackered when she returns) who is increasing the exercise monthly. Eats what I’d consider a normal diet and smallish portions (previously checked to be around 1800-2200 cals on average) and yet she still cant seem to shift any, despite 3 months of the above. It seems everyone has a different method that works for them and you just have to find it!
