I’ve had a quick search around the forum, the general concensus seems to be along the lines of “the converted church is nice, but Bleaneau Ffestinog is a hole”. So is there a better alternative in the nearby valleys?

Just to make matters complex; 2 of us will be staying in a B&B, and (the legendary) GW plus one other are glamping somewhere – hopefully nearby, but a lot of sites aren’t open yet.

    Cheers,
    Mark

How about a log cabin at Trawsfynydd holiday village. Not far and you could share one. Slightly up on glamping and down on a B&B so a good compromise.

    EDIT too slow

Unfortunately the other two will glamp or die! So a cabin would be a bit OTT for what me and the missus need. Good idea though, shame they don’t have anything along the lines of pods

It’s only about 15 minutes pleasant drive to betws-y-coed which is pretty nice- much nicer than blaenau mordoriog- and well set up for accomodation/food/etc. I don’t know the area any better than that but tbh I haven’t found any reason to look outside of byc.
