looking for a good quality wool peacoat for my son.
trawled the shops looking for one, and the quality is pretty shoddy.
seen them on army surplus websites as NOS.
just wondering if anyone has bought one or can reccommend somewhere for one.

    cheers

Not army surplus but I saw a really nice Timberland wool pea coat in TK Max about a week ago. It was £90 IIRC.

Most surplus stuff is pretty good, and wool peacoats should be fine. Not something that would get a lot of wear, usually.
I’ve got a really nice ’90’s CWU45/P flying jacket, bought from Rockit in That London. It’s the genuine NATO issue jacket, has the owners name written on the label, there’s a couple of small smudges of a red oxide paint on the right sleeve. It’s fireretardant, made of Nomex, a current issue new one goes for around $495 from Alpha Industries, mine was £50…
And I love it to bits. ?
