    did they weigh your bike?

i am flying to Geneva on Tuesday with my bike
having packed it tonight I have checked the weight and it is 23kgs – 3 kgs over the Jet2 allowance. I have put the pedals, tools body armour in my suitcase

can’t see how i can reduce the weight so at worst its £8 per kg each way for the extra 3kgs
I guess its the mavic deemax wheels and the 2.5 minion tyres

Take the tyres off and put in your luggage? They must almost the full 3Kg.

When I flew with them last year I was allowed 22kgs…

And on top of that a bikebox that could not weigh more than 32kgs

It cost me £15 each way for the bike..
