Subscribing to absurd conspiracy theories, believing in religion, not ‘believing’ in evolution, alkaline diets, homeopathy or miracle cancer cures could all be neutralised by an ability to assess quality/weight/source of evidence.

A common theme with these people seems to be they have a narrative and seek ‘evidence’ to reinforce that narrative and no amount of real evidence can dissuade them. The irony is they call themselves sceptics but they’re the opposite of sceptical.

After all the fuss and investment, given vast advances in technology, when was the last time anyone went to the moon?

The role of Kubrick in discussing the faked moon landings falls down on one small detail and people look to Kubrick because he’d made visually convincing films of space travel before that kind space travel was a reality.

Its a a tiny detail people overlook when they propose that the moon landings were faked – and thats despite how great an achievement it was to land on the moon at the time it would have been a far greater achievement to have hoaxed it. The technology to screen that hoax worldwide for the duration they were screened for didn’t exist…. didn’t even nearly exist.
