For climbing not riding! Snow/ice? Monitoring MWIS/SAIS but wondered if there was anyone on the ground…

Might be worth having a look over on the UKClimbing UKHillwalking – there’s usually several folks operating around that area who post updates on the snow conditions.

Just driven past 1hr ago. Horizontal snow, lying all the way down to the A9 level. BIG winds, getting progressively calmer and warmer as you head north.

I’m going there 5th-12th 😀 . Looked on UKHillwalking and it’s improving. The snow’s pretty high up and many mixed routes are only a little rimey. Someone was saying to treat grades a level harder.

I’m only there for walking but want my crampons on!

Reports are saying increasing amounts of snow to come!
