Has anyone got one of the large, Police approved Asgard sheds? Like this one? https://www.asgardsss.co.uk/cycle-maintenance-shed

If so, how many proper bikes can you get into it? I have the 3 bike version and you can’t really fit 3 modern mountain bikes into it, not whole at least

I’ve had that one for several years and I’m really pleased with it. I mainly use it for four bikes which leaves more than half the shed free for all my bits n pieces and room to do stuff! 🙂 and it’s never going to get blown away in the wind!

Even the 6 bike one is a little stingy when it comes to internal width, that put me off so I went with a normal shed instead and they mean 6 bikes with the stem loosened and bars turned 90 degrees on MTBs, put any kind of bench in there and it’s a struggle with two let alone three with the bars straight, that is if it’s used for everything else like the lawnmower, step ladders and gardening stuff, my shed is heaving with all sorts of crap, Ideally they should make it 6ft wide. I also imagine they are like an oven in summer and a freezer in winter.

Yes got the one pictured. Fit 5 bikes in it.  Arranged front to back on the floor are: a 29er full suss & 3 drop bar bikes. On one wall I built a thin shelf  to sit the wheels of a TT bike that then leans outward into the centre of the shed. Use a couple of straps to stop it falling.

You need an absolutely level base to put it on so there is no twist in the shed or the doors wont close properly.

Do they fit in fully assembled and can be rolled in and out? I’d be getting the shed for bikes only

Also have the pictured one, or possibly the slightly longer one. Usually holds 4 bikes down one side, 2 side by side with front wheels off and bars turned at the back, one with both wheels and seatpost off hung above them, and one with front wheel on at the front. It is quite tight, and a faff to move/assemble/disassemble.

Other side has gardening stuff at the front, and shelving at the back for tools and BBQ etc

Had it for 9 years, and structurally it’s been flawless. And dark. And hot in the summer.

I really wish I had got the slightly wider one. Wouldn’t miss the foot or 18″ or so from the garden, but I would really appreciate some more space inside

In work we’ve been using the Cleveland site safe quad bike type storage unit. Don’t know how they compare to an Asgard price wise but they feel a lot sturdier.

I looked at these. On one hand they seem rather expensive, but on the other hand being able to reply “I am of Asgard, and I am burdened with glorious bike maintenance” when using it and being approached by wife/kids is appealing.

I used to have an Asgard motorbike garage. If you wanted to use it for push bikes only, then the answer is ‘lots’.

They do different lengths and widths too.

I have the 5 bike one.  Takes 7 bike with nowt else in.

@dmorts yes, just wheel in and out with no problems or messing around. I occasionally wheel another two in, which also fit, although four is perfect with room left over 🙂

I have all my tools in there too including about 60 “pockets” hung on the walls, helmet hooks, shelving and drawers!

I recently sold a bike, but the fourth just goes upright on the right, like the third!

I did that only I got one of the self assembly ones. 2×2.1×2.4m for £1500 plus delivery (doesn’t work out to be much). Yes they’re heavy but can be disassembled and moved relatively easily.

Does need better locks but otherwise I was happy with mine. Despite protests to the contrary I’ve never had any dampness issues, if I did I’d just fit container vents.

@steamtb looks good. How wide is your shed? It seems wider than 1.6m, so perhaps your shed is the 8 bike version? (2.2m wide)

Could be estate agent style photography, like when they make a pokey little garden look massive. 😀

Got the one you pictured op, but in iron lung beige. Had it 6 years, still solid and looking and rust free.Have 6 bikes stored plus spares and tools and garden stuff. 3 mtb’s and 1 gravel bike and 2 road bikes. Do get condensation on roof in winter,, but easy to wipe away
