interested in any experiences good and bad / regrets / downsides etc.?

Feeling myself inexorably drawn to the “new darkside”……..

29’ers that seem to cover a similar range of riding to the Yeti that I like the look of include Pivot 429, Devinci Atlas, Whyte T129

    thanks

Here’s a link to a recent WMB group test that the Whyte won. They all look pretty good though.

    Pulls up a chair…
I currently have a 5carbon and was wondering the same. If they did the same set up in 29, it would be a no brainer

    Close – I went from a 575 to a Whyte T129S.

The Whyte is, I think, a better ride. It is faster, more stable and planted and just plain more fun. This came as something of a surprise!

My 575 was a first gen one, if that makes any difference.

ermm had a first gen 575 as well. I think the ASR 5 is a bit faster, more planted, stable and more fun………… so that’s a bit inconclusive!!

Lol – well if you happen to be in the South Lakes you can always have a go on mine… so long as Large is the right size for you!

Charlie I’m with you on that. I had the older 575. The 5 is better.
I do like the look of the Salsa Horsethief
