  • Anyone done a day's biking from Katmandu?

    I’ve got a few days in Nepal next week and thought it would be a great opportunity to get a day’s mountain biking in.

    There seem to be a multitude of companys offering trips from Katmandu, so thought I’d consult the STW oracle to see if anyone can personally recommend anyone?

    Go to or e mail Himalayan singletrack in Thamel and they’ll sort something out for you no problem, even better, fly out to Pokhara and mix it up with some paragliding and rafting.

    There are loads of great trails, but if you only have a limited time a jeep transfer and guide are essential to make the most of it.

    Thanks, will look at feasibility of getting to Pokhara as paragliding appeals too.
