Skier here as well, planning Serre Chevalier or somewhere like that in March. Never been to Serre, but the ski area looks awesome! Was going to be somewhere in January, but starting new job so could hardly head straight off!
Normally I get about 3 weeks in between France and Austria but as i ‘ve got a new business I’ll be just doing one week in Val d’Isere April time I think. Oh and a few days on Cairngorm seeing as it’s close and had loads of snow just now!
Val d’Isere for us last week in Jan. We usually go to US/Canada over Xmas/New Year as well but giving it a miss this year – austerity measures and all that 🙁
La Clusaz for a family week tomorrow.
Mrs Higs is going to Serre Chevalier in Jan
Family skiing (with neighbours) in La Tzoumaz (Verbier) half term.
Nothing as yet planned for March but may see if I can engineer a lads Chamonix/Courmayeur thing.
Tignes tomorrow, booked yesterday 1/3 of the advertised price, snow looks awesome and Mrs_de_void performed some stirling phone flirting with the booking agent and got us an upgraded room! If you see a family of 3 dressed as Papa Noel on the 25th say Hello!
Oh and I’m off to Chamonix on a Stag Do for a long w/e in March.
29th Jan 1 week somewhere booked on the 23 Jan prob Skiworld ,prob french alps
5 March , 1 week somewhere , booked 1 march ,prob with skiworld, prob Austria
We’re going to Les Arcs on Jan 22nd. Not been before so looking forward to it.
Not going to get a second ski holiday in (usually go in March) as our recent wedding and the cost of the Les Arcs trip have put pay to that
Skiing in Les Arcs in Jan, and Tignes in March. Lovely shiny new boots with Zip Fit liners as well. I love the ski season, just a shame it’s only a couple of weeks a year at the moment.
Couple of weekends “training” in Chamonix in Feb and March, then 3 weeks camping and touring in Greenland. 😀
Still jealous of anyone heading to Western USA & Canada though. coming down silly hard over there. 262cm at the top of Squaw valley in Mid December, and another 2 1/2 feet forecast in the next few days!
