    Its for the back wheel of a DH bike, like the idea of a slightly stronger wheel, built several 3 cross wheels and fancy building something slightly different

    Depending on your flange a bit, but you’re likely to get your first cross over the head of the adjacent spoke. 3 cross is plenty strong enough for downhill if built well.
