Our 2 year old ‘Stovax Stockton 4’ (4kW) stove has a crack horizontally across the glass. It appeared last night after it was lit, we didn’t spot it before.
    Has anyone else experienced this?

Not had a glass crack before but should be fairly easy to replace. Make sure you get proper stove glass – should cost about £45.

yes it happens just replace the glass- mine was cracked all the way through mind as i stood on it DOH
IME it does not really leak and you can temporary seal it with stove cement.
Check ebay/web for prices [should be some tabs or similar on the inside – these were a pig to undo on mine- a morso

Had a few tiny ones on our original glass and replaced it, check the seal too to make sure that’s ok. It’s a doddle to replace, just loosened the tabs on ours and out it came.

Biggest cause apparently is wood not being dry enough.
