I’m building up parts for a new project.
Got me thinking that a coaster brake could be good fun.

Is there any 142mm coaster brake hubs that take a through axles?

Pretty sure the answer is no.

I did a lot of research into various hub brakes a year or so back, looking to improve braking on the rear of an old 90s steel frame.

Most coaster hubs are 120 spacing, there are some 135, or some can be spaced out to that.

No through axle ones that I’m aware of, most are solid nutted axles.

Charlie the Bikemonger would know. This is his particular area of excellence.

Thanks ajantom- pretty much matches what my research has thrown up too.
Oh well! Time to look at boring, reliable, well modulated & powerful disc brakes..
