I agree with branston pickle, but it MUST be ‘small chunk’pickle, out of the squeezy bottle……
    It’s the law…..

I’m toying with the idea of banning you for that remark. Small chunk B.P is WRONG, out of squeezy bottle makes it WRONGER.

I’m more of a welsh rarebit gal myself!

Fry some onion and tomato in a tiny bit of butter, add cheese and cook til cheese is melted. Add plenty of black pepper. Pour over toast.

Tsk. State of people’s use of language on here is terrible.

if you have no grill, make a cheese sandwich using whatever is your preferred method, and fry in a nice oiled skillet, ( a frying pan will just burn the edges of the bread unless you are very lucky getting the temp in the pan just right, a skillet on a very low heat seems to heat more evenly and results in less carbonization and more overall tastiness ) on both sides for about three or four minutes.

Or…… make your cheese sandwich, cut a hole in the middle of it with a glass in a biscuit cutter stylee, plop an egg in there once its on the skillet and fry for about four or five minutes on each side, also with this method, the bit you have cut out of the sandwich will be ready to eat about a minute before the rest of it it, so you can scoff that whilst waiting for the rest.

mind you, I’m a greedy bastard and always make about three on the run.

It might just be the best idea in the world ever, if not it’s extremely close I reckon, the fella who showed me how to make it deserves a knighthood or something.

No. I’m having flashbacks to being forced to eat them at school.
