Seeing as I am wrestling with very trivial first world problems whilst the world is occupied with more pressing issues I have finally grown tired of ankle socks that don’t stay up.

I need: black, cheapish, stay up socks to wear with trainers.

    Any recommendations?

    Thanks

Do you not need trainer socks, which can’t fall down anyway?

If you mean trainer socks that are hidden, then these stay out.

These are a touch higher and also stay put.

I don’t understand! Ankle socks are socks that reach to just above the ankles. All of my socks stay up regardless of how cheap or expensive they are, or how long or short.

M&S cotton-rich sport socks, bought in packs of four or five pairs, can’t remember, but I’ve been wearing them for many years, always black, that way if one wears through I just wait for another to do the same then I’ve still got a complete pair! I’ve got some I’m still wearing that must be ten years old, at least! They always stay up, and they’re really comfy, especially as I’m on my feet all day, wearing steelies, and walking up to five miles or so each day – I need socks that don’t bunch up. Or fall down, either, and those don’t.
It’s these, I think, their Cool and Fresh range, five pairs for £12

Smart wool mini or micro crew socks.

Those M&S ones are the reason I asked. I have them now and they are hands down the most useless socks I have ever owned.
