Does anybody know if you can fit say a Works Components angled headset to a bike with a tapered integrated headset?

If Zero Stack (with cups) then yes, if IS (direct bearing fit) then no.

    Frame is a Kinesis X.

This is the type of ‘normal’ headset it takes:

No – that takes an integrated headset where the bearings fit directly into machined bearing seats in the headtube. You need a headtube that takes cups in order to offset the bearing seats to alter HA.
