I’ve finally joined the world of tablets, and want to add some bits and bobs for my 6yo.

She has several that she’s used on my phone for ages (Angry Birds, a drawing app, Talking Tom Cat, a simple Maths game), but I wondered what else to go for.

We found some cooking games earlier that she seemed to like and I’ll probably stick Fruit Ninja on there too, but can anyone suggest any others she might like?

    Cheers,

My kids have a cheap tablet each (5 & 8yo)

These seem the most popular (in no particular order…):
    Cut the rope
    Sprinkle
    Granny Smith
    Coloring Book II
    Doodle Toy
    Fruit Ninja
    Hill Climb Racing
    Littlest Pet Shop (very girly…)
    Uno

    Thanks for the suggestions.

Hopping between this and the Mumsnet thread has now got me sniggering at the word “Pango”, although I’m not sure my daughter would find it that much fun…

Get zoodles/kidmode for it – that locks it down so that they can’t go online or use any apps that you haven’t approved. (I use it on my phone too for when we’re out and about)

It also has a load of free games/etc included. Oh and it emails you any pics that they draw along with an activity summary.

The games my 5yo son likes have been mentioned already with the exception of Minion Rush (Despicable Me) and Blosics

    Despicable Me’s definitely a winner, thanks 🙂
