So by “the left” you mean the Guardian newspaper ? That’s the Guardian newspaper which last general election urged its readers to vote for Nick Clegg and has less blue collar readers than any other national newspaper in Britain ?

Your suggestion of what defines “the left” is as strange as your suggestion that the left is a single entity which speaks in one united voice.

And you are completely wrong anyway concerning your claim that the Guardian “was calling for war over Syria”. In fact the opposite is true – the Guardian welcomed the fact that Cameron lost the Commons vote to bomb Syria :
