    If you're going to wear something like Ronhills – why put shorts over them?
    Surely you'd be better off with Lycra under them?

    no its for wearing so i stay warm and dry on normal mtb rides. How is it either when the alturas are fleece lined – are they not a warmer alternative?

    I've never had cold legs regardless of what I've been wearing on them – i.e. thin bib tights work OK, as do fleecy lined keks

    i have never had cold legs but i am sure warmer legs = warmer feet, therefore that is why i want some trousers
