Not at all Darcy, you’re the only one obsessing about it!

    Methinks thou dost protest…

Obsessing? Not at all. Enjoying your bullshitting exposed? Absolutely.

Glad to come back to this thread and see that more than a few people had mentioned Micheal Jones as the best player of the last 40 years.

Phew, he’s set to stay at Toulon for the rest of the season… come on Gavin, show them they’ve made the right choice!

So he’s bitten the hand that feeds him (Wilkinson in this case), and he’s staying at the club? He’ll get lots of ball then won’t he! 😕

    You want sacked?

Take a look at Sale Sharks – they’ve released 21 players and 4 backroom staff after getting humped into oblivion at the weekend!

I know we’ve got players like Richie Vernon coming in but 21 players in one go??? 😯

Glaws put ten tries past Sale at the weekend. The Shed were singing “can we play you every week”. A few of them just looked pretty resigned to their fate to me.

Just read this thread – Gavin Henson is a cock. FACT. Now p off and write something interesting about Rugby.

well brilliant work there chameleon, and most likely true, but what makes him interesting is the fact that when it comes to rugby he is hugely talented.

He’s not hugely talented as there is no such thing. He has lots of ability which he fails to fulfil mostly.

Agreed. By no means the stand-out centre you make him out to be.

Honestly – is this thread a troll? If it is it’s magnificent and I’ve been well and truly suckered throughout! 😀

But if its not, I find your infatuation and devotion both unsettling and a little bit weird actually… 😯

He prob gets a lot of attention due the lack of stand out talent/form at centre currently playing for wales or scotland and england for that matter. As his inclusion in the wales squad illustrates – not having to show any hunger.

He is a very talented player who has done very little at International level for quite some time now.

    Like Jonny Wilkinson.

Not sure I understand this, whats the difference between talent and ability?

He has lots of ability which he fails to fulfil mostly

Not strictly true (see what I did there?) he just fails to use it.

This is true and an aging BOD aside Ireland have very little too. I may have to question the hunger bit in one sense, because to have got himself to the physical level needed to survive full games in the Top 14 on the back of almost no gametime in 2 years shows a serious commitment to training.

Ireland have a lot of good young centres coming through.

How come they kept playing Darcy in the 6 nations then as he was truely awful
Wales have Hook, Roberts and Davies which aint too shabby but with Hook being considered at 10 and Shanklin retired its a bit shakey if any injuries arise.

Kidney is a notoriously conservative coach. Paddy Wallace and D’Arcy were basically picked for the World Cup squad at the start of the season, all the selections follow from that. To be fair to D’Arcy he has come back into good form for Leinster.

Luke Marshall is coming through at 12 for Ulster and is a very similar player to Henson. Nevin Spence has just had a brilliant debut season at 13. Fergus McFadden has been playing very well at 12 for Leinster. Earls and Bowe have both got experience at 13. We’re alright for centres for the forseeable future.

Has Bowe played 13 for Ireland? Paired up with the right type of 12 he could be very good, but then he is already one of the worlds top 14’s. Never been conviced by Earls at the top level.

He might have stepped in but I don’t think he has started. Earls has been getting better and better, 09 Lions was to much too soon but he has improved steadily since. He is a ridiculously talented footballer with a lot of pace. We have a few wings coming through at Leinster and Ulster so the likes of Bowe or Fitzgerald might step inside.

Dragons or Australia, depends on whether he gets a WC berth.

Cant believe Richard Cockerill didnt get anything more than a slap on the wrist for slagging the officials.

And while we’re on the theme, congratulations to Leinster for confirming continuing dominance of Irish rugby over English by handing Northampton a 16 point start and still beating them in the second half. Stirring comeback 😀

Was a great come back, fair play never rated Sexton but he had a blinder. Congratulations Leinster.
