- Alistair Lees Memorial XC TT – 15th March Inners
Alistair Lees Memorial XC Time Trail
Innerleithen Forestry Commission Carpark
The traditional Scottish XC season opener on the best XC course in Britain ! This year we will be using a longer course, and all riders will complete one lap. The trophy, in memory of our friend Alistair who died of cancer in November 2007, will be awarded in the Vet category. We will be taking a split time at the top of the course and a prize will be awarded for the fastest male and female riders on that section. Past winners include Gary Forrest, Lew Buchanan and Anja MacDonald.
Get a flavour of the trails to be used for the British National Champs this year ! This event sold out last year and is limited to 120 places, so enter now to be sure of a place.Posted 10 years ago
Steve and Dan rode it last night and are talking about 15-20km, e.g. a decent long loop, with ups and downs rather than one big ole climb.
We are making a map this weekend will send it to you and publish on website pretty soon, and will likely do a reccie ride next weekend.Posted 10 years ago

The Matador (all of it)
The push-up trail up to the very top (using that for the climb)
Red route up to the crop circles, then down to
Racing starts at 11.00 and will be over by 15.00.
Still taking entries on http://www.innerleithenmtbracing.com

Any chance of a course map Helen? Ta!
Also to anyone who is thinking of doing this don’t be put off by the fact its a race. Its a time trial so you can go at your own pace and as everyone starts a minute apart there is no wheel to wheel racing just friendly banter as the faster folk go past! 😉 The course will be fun for sure!Posted 10 years agoSTATOMember

Ah a Classicist, how rare in todays world. It would match with the Clydesdale and Athena category, another I have been trying to reintroduce to SXC for years, for the fun of it. But if we did that would have to give those beardy Singlespeeder types their own Cat, and there are limits. And prolly lots of rude jokes surrounding what you would call a female singlespeeder, apart from Earl.Posted 10 years ago
