Any recommendations for a car warranty company based on actual claims experience?

I’m with Warrantywise at the mo, the one endorsed by Quinton whatsisface, formerly of Top Gear I think. It’s been rubbish in that on the couple of occasions I’ve tried to claim they’ve wriggled like hell, surprise surprise.

Do you speak from experience uplink? Only asking because I’ve heard mostly bad stuff about them.

IMO 3rd party warranties are usually tosh when it comes to the more expensive claims (and some of the less expensive stuff too).

All in all, I wouldn’t recommend one – but that may be because I’ve gone with main stealer when possible. I’m sure others will be along with better experience of the former …

I used Warranty Direct when I had my old 97 Vectra and they paid out no problem when the MAF went.

Not had a warranty for the last 7 years, but I do seem to remember that you had to study the T&Cs very closely to see what was covered and what was excluded.

The wife’s car has had 2 or 3 problems and they’ve sorted them pronto
