I’m looking to book a bunkhouse or similar accommodation as near to the trails as possible for January, around 10 beds needed. Does anyone have any recommendations? The new hotel looks flash, but perhaps too flash!

Not exactly a bunkhouse but I can definitely recommend Afan Lodge.
In between both trail centres about £50 a night including a superb breakfast plus they do evening meals and beer.
Maybe I just like my home comforts!!!

+1 for Bryn Bettws. Stayed at both Brynteg House and Bryn Bettws. Both good but Bryn Bettws is situated right on ‘Y Wall’ just metres away from new skills loop that opened at start of December. Food is excellent and they can cater for large parties. Usual bike wash/storage, etc. Won’t stay anywhere else now when going to Afan.
